The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Urban Climate and Sustainability is open to students who meet the following minimum eligibility requirements:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in a field relating to Urban Sustainability, particularly one of the main streams of the programme; Planning, Management, or Science.
- At least two years working experience equivalent to full-time after Bachelor degree, counting up to the month before the course start.
- English competence equivalent to at least IELTS 6.5 average (6.0 in all components), TOEFL 90 overall (listen 19, read/write 20, speak 21) or CEFR C1 in all components. Certificates are also required by UK immigration authorities.
Please note that a certificate stating that your entire degree course was conducted in English is not sufficient to prove your English language proficiency for this course.
You may test your preliminary eligibility at our online self-test.
Applicants not meeting any of these requirements will be rejected and given notice about the reasons soon after the eligibility check. NOTE that previous holders of EMJMD scholarships are ineligible for another one, but may apply to the course on own/other financing.

Since the time frame between close of application and acceptance is limited, we recommend that you prepare for these certificates as soon as possible.
Candidates submitting more than one appliction will automatically be disqualified.
